A letter from Saigon: why we built Resmeldt Studio.

I am writing this from a rooftop in Saigon, the city that has, more than any other, taught me to slow down without apology. The streets below are doing what streets here always do at this hour — finding their rhythm again after the heat.

I have spent most of my adult life in the seam between journalism and design. Newspapers, books, documentaries, brand work, hosted conversations, long candlelit dinners for strangers. The throughline was never the medium. It was always the same small obsession: what makes a person, briefly, feel met?

What this studio is for

Resmeldt Studio exists for a very specific kind of work. Brands, founders, cultural projects and rooms who would rather be felt than performed. Pieces of media that ask for a second look, not the first scroll. Evenings that make the people inside them remember they have a body.

The bottleneck has moved. It is no longer the cost of making things. It is the cost of making things matter.

What it is not

It is not a content machine. It is not a growth agency. It is not a place where you will be sold a framework you did not ask for. We work slowly, with a small number of people at a time, and we are honest when we are not the right room for the project.
